In addition to his own music projects, Zach has performed with renowned artists including Ibrahim Maalouf, Angelique Kidjo, Joshua Redman, Wynton Marsalis, Louis Cole, Esperanza Spalding, Zakir Hussain, Brian Blade, Dayna Stephens, Taylor Eigsti, Charles Altura, Jaron Lanier, Josh Groban, Joshua Bell, Tootie Heath, James Francies, Joel Ross, Eric Harland, Cris Williamson, Barbara Higbie, Diving Dame, and so many others who greatly inspire him.  He has played at venues, large and small, across the globe, making his debut as a band leader playing his original music at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. He has performed at the Grammys, on HBO’s Masterclass, as well as at the White House and United Nations at the request of President Barack Obama.

While playing jazz clubs in New York City, Zach began undergraduate studies at Columbia University. He completed undergraduate and graduate degrees at Stanford University (Earth Systems/Environmental Communication) while also learning music production and engineering at Stanford’s Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA).  As an educator, Zach is a faculty member of Stanford Jazz Workshop and offers master classes and private instruction. He was recognized as a Presidential Scholar in the Arts by Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.

As an environmental communication strategist and entrepreneur, Zach leads projects for brands, corporations, NGOs and start-ups.  His passion for solving environmental challenges also influences his approach to music as a universal tool for change.  While at Warner Music Group, he created Vote For Home, the first web video series to feature well known musical artists highlighting the impact of climate change on their communities, while helping register voters for upcoming elections.

Zach is based in Los Angeles, California.
